We describe Rewatch as your team’s private and secure video channel. Our customers trust us every day to make sure the recordings of their meetings, all-hands, and product demos are always available while ensuring that only the right people in their team have access to that data.

It’s only because of this trust, that we’re able to provide a great experience and help teams stay more connected and collaborative around their video.

Our customer’s trust is something we take extremely seriously and we look for ways to demonstrate that commitment whenever possible. That’s why we’re happy to announce that we’ve received our SOC 2 Type II report.

What is SOC 2 Type II?

SOC is short for “Service and Organization Controls” and the SOC 2 Type II audit is one of the most stringent, industry-accepted audits to ensure that companies conform to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“AICPA”) SOC 2 standard. This standard measures a company’s security and availability to make sure they are properly managed and regularly audited for compliance.

So why pursue this? The answer is simple—to continue earning your trust. We know that trust isn’t something static. It’s something that’s earned over and over again. That’s why this process and compliance matters.

What’s included in our report

As part of our audit, all of our policies and controls were evaluated to make sure that we were compliant and took proper care to make sure your data was secure as possible. This audit covered our:

  • Risk management and vendor due diligence
  • IT infrastructure
  • Software development life cycle
  • Change management
  • Logical and network security
  • Physical & environmental security
  • Computer operations

Continued commitment

Of course, this isn’t the end of our commitment to security or the SOC 2 process. We will be performing annual, third-party audits that will continue assessing our processes and policies to make sure we’re supporting our customers' needs.
